Welcome Freedom Lovers

This is for all who feel the U.S. government has grown well beyond the limitations placed upon it by our founders.

This is neither right nor left, all comments are welcome. However, I reserve the right to take down any hateful comments, and to block those who do nothing to further the debate.

We take our name from the 2nd paragraph of the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the Consent of the Governed..."

In other words folks, our rights are "natural" rights, bestowed by no person or institution. It is the government's job to secure our rights. Any rights that government has are those that we have given it. And that which we have given can also be taken.

Most of the powers which the federal government now claims for itself have been added on slowly over time, with little or no resistance from its citizenry. They were clearly not granted these powers by the Constitution, but have gained them through our own inertia. They have no powers without the consent of the governed, but we've all heard the phrase "silence means consent".

It is time to break our silence.
